Post Birmingham MCM Comic Con 2014

Sarah Fogg and I had a table at Birmingham MCM Comic Con. Thank you very much to everyone who stopped for a chat or bought our comics. It was a busy show and we had a really great time.

Most items in the photo are available to order from my Etsy shop or Sarah's Etsy shop.
We don't have any tables booked in April but our next events will be BCExpo and London MCM Expo in May. Gemma Sheldrake will have her own table in the comic village at MCM.

Thanks for reading

Post Bristol Comics Expo

Hello! Massive thank you to all those who visited the table for chatting and purchases over the weekend! We had a great time at Bristol Comics Expo!

Photo reading: Tuk Tuk by Will Kirkby - it's ace!

Treebeard has struggled getting work in Hollywood despite his role in LOTR. We got him a temp job being sandwich board guy. (really what happened is that I forgot to pack a extra stand, but did remember to bring a Treebeard action figure to hang out with)

We have 1 copy left of Alien Rendez-vous and Beyond Fantasy. They're both listed on my Etsy.

Thanks again! See you at London MCM Expo and Manchester MCM Expo!!

Pre Bristol Comics Expo Post

Hello! This saturday and sunday (11th-12th) we will be at Bristol Comics Expo! We're launching our new anthology Mixtape. (See the last couple of blog  posts for previews) We still have copies of Eat Me!, last years food themed anthology. If you can't attend the event these books are listed on my Etsy shop.

We will have all the issues of What's The Time Mrs. Woolf? which are still in stock. They are magazines style zines so it's not important to start from the begining or read in order. The issues are also listed on Sarah's Etsy

Some of the solo comics Sarah and I will be bringing along. We'll be taking some mini comics, postcards, badges and things too.

Sale!! Sale!! Beyond Fantsy and Alien Rendez-vous are the last stock of some of our older comics and they will be just 50p!

FREE MINI COMICS! We'll have around 60 sets of free mini comics to give out at the event. If we forget to hand you one if you're browsing the secret code is 'Do you have a business card?' - and free things will be in placed your hands!

I think thats everything. We have a bigger table space so basically everything we have in stock will be there!

Thanks see you there!

Bristol Comic Expo 2012

Hello! Thank you very much to anyone who stopped by to say hello and/or buy a comic at Bristol Expo! Sarah, Shaz and I all had a lot of fun behind the table and catching up with friends.

Before we went to expo I didn't manage to get a photo of Sarah's new original art cards but I want to show you because they're lovely. (on the left)

Thanks again!

Bristol Expo Extras!

Inspired comics have fun compiling anthologies together once or twice a year but at Bristol Expo this weekend we will have some new comics created by a couple of individuals from the collective. I have got some comics previews for you now!

Shazia Jubeen is just finishing the last year of her illustration degree. This short story comic Thin Ice is the result of the hard work put into her final major project. You can find more of Shazia's comics and illustration on her blog.

This weekend Sarah Fogg will be releasing a new mini comic called The Bad Fairy Bakery. Click the images to enlarge to read the blurb and preview page. Sarah will also be bringing a collection of What's The Time Mrs. Woolf? zines and new hand drawn art cards and mini prints.

I've decided to touch up and print Smoothie Wars, a mini comic from my webcomic short story site. It features characters Ted and Tim who have recently appeared again in my Eat Me! anthology submission. I will have copies of  Best Day Ever and some new sticker designs.

We will also have some bookmarks and handmade trinkets created by Catherine Reda

Thanks again for reading the blog and I hope you come along and say hi this weekend

Anthology Photos

The printed comics arrived yesterday so I have taken some pictures. Unfortunately I only have a phone camera so these were the best I could get. I'm pleased with the print quality and I can't wait till Bristol Expo now.  The cover art is by Sarah Fogg and comic in the photo is by Jack Davies

I also took a photo of the Catherine Reda's Bunny food stickers. They're sooo cute. We will have them on sale at Bristol Expo in a couple of weeks.

There will be 2 more preview pages next week !

Thanks again

Eat Me!

Sugary sweet bunnies, a deliciously grim detective tale, turf wars of fiendish butchers and food wars on national TV! Just some of the stories to be found in Eat Me! a food-themed anthology from Inspired Comics. Sit down and feed your brain with six original comics, from light snacks to juicy steaks, there’s something for every taste.

Hello! Sorry I took a break from blogging so I would have a bit of extra time to sort the files and things. I'm pleased to say the files have been sent to the printers on schedule and hopefully we'll have the books ready for Bristol Expo in May. I'm very excited. The cover illustration and title picked by the group is by Sarah Fogg and the anthology includes comics by Jack Davies, Catherine Reda, Harry Griffin-Hayes, Luke Bayliss, Sammy Borras, Sarah fogg and Lily-rose Beardshaw. I'll be posting preview pages and some more development work over the next couple of weeks.

Big thanks to Jack Davies for the extra title illustrations in this anthology

Thanks for reading!

2012 News

Hello! I have some news for this spring term.

Inspired will be with Itch Publishing and helping with the art competition at Midlands MCM Expo in Telford on Saturday 18th February. You can find the information for this years competition here or see last years winners here.

I can also confirm we will have a table at Bristol Comic Expo in May.

What's The Time, Mrs. Woolf? is a feminist zine created by Sarah and Lily. Issue 2 was released recently containing comics, illustrations and articles by a couple of Inspired's members. Both issues are available to buy from their online shop and hopefully from our table at events. (Zine cover by Meg White) The zine has an open submission system so check their website if you would like to get involved!

Thanks!
